Get the recruiter direct contact and a rough timeline in writing before the onsite. When the ghosting starts, you at least know who to escalate to.

Five rounds of someone's time earns you a response. The fact that you had to go around to a different recruiter is embarrassing on their side.

The generic template rejection after five rounds is worse than a phone call. I have been there.
